Parish Fete - November 7th 2009

The Annual Parish Fete was another exceptional day of community fellowship and a wonderful fundraiser as well with more than $12,000 being raised this year. The weather was hot and sunny and the people came in droves for the bargains, fabulous food and wonderful home made goods. Members of the parish and the local community enjoyed the opportunity to stock up on home made cakes and preserves, books, toys, plants, clothing, craft & a variety of second hand goods - everyone loves a bargain!!

Congratulations and many thanks to all the organisers, stall holders and people who volunteered their time beforehand, on the day and in cleaning up, to make this annual event such a special day in the church calendar.

For many reasons the fete is a vitally important part of our parish life. It not only generates income for the important work of the Church, it also plays a special part in revitalising the social interaction between all age groups and interest groups within the parish. It is also an opportunity to extend our reach into the wider community in a positive way, demonstrating that our church is active, alive and well.
