Who is Jesus for me?

Dear Jesus,
You are my way, my truth, my life.
You are the breath I breathe, the living Word I speak.
You are Sophia, who speaks all things into being
and cries out in my heart from the heart of creation.
You are the living body of which I am a living member,
the incarnation of love who makes us whole.
You are the living vine in which I grow and bear fruit.
You are the living spring from which I drink and know life.
You are the light of the world by whom I see.
You are the living bread that feeds our community.
You are the hungry, thirsty, naked, imprisoned stranger
who calls forth compassion and justice and peace in us.
You are the good shepherd of the flock whom we follow
into green pastures, beside still waters and through the valley of the shadow of death.
You are the resurrection and the life in whom we rise up and live.
You are the end in whom we make our beginning.

Prayer and Spirituality

I practice the Jesus Prayer. (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_Prayer )

What drives my ministry?

My primary means of engaging in ministry is via creative imagination. I get most satisfaction and energy from deep creative reflection on scripture. I love exploring and communicating biblical and theological ideas and images in ways that connect with and inspire myself and others. Yes I use words, but occasionally I dance too!
