Afternoon of Fine Music September 25th 2011

An Afternoon of Fine Music was held at St.Martin's church on Sunday 25 September at 2.30 pm. This year's lighter selection of music suited all tastes with Katrina Pezzimenti (Australian Opera) Geoff Hinde, Catherine Oxworth and talented pianist George Charters. A lovely crowd came and enjoyed a wonderful concert Every one enjoyed afternoon tea at interval.

The amazing sum of $1290 was raised with proceeds going to the Sri Lankan Orphanage our church has supported for many years. Over the years we have raised over $20,000 for the orphanage and helped with a computer, shoes & bicycles. When the Tsunami went through the orphanage we purchased new, bedding & linen and each year a gift of clothing for each child at Christmas and educational and food supplies. Thank you to everyone for their support.
